A Weekend in Life

I realized that I have not done ‘A Day in Life’ post in a while and since this weekend, thanks to Nemo, was quite memorable (with 10 inches of snow!) I figured that now would be a good time to do it!

We got ready for the snow with plenty of food in the fridge and pantry, a filled up generator (in case the power goes out), popcorn, cocoa powder and marshmallows ready for hot chocolate for the girls and some wine for the grown-ups:)

Friday was a preview of a snow-filled and laid back weekend.  The girls had a blast making snow men and having a snow ball fight with their Nanny:

and eating snow, of course:)

while I braved blizzard-like conditions and took pictures of our street:

On Saturday we woke up to Winter Wonderland:

while as usual, the girls spent way too much time making their beds and decorating them with toys:

We had a leisurely breakfast of French Toast:

Spent some time hanging out with Daddy:

And then stepped to the Winter Wonderland outside!  Mia wanted to earn her keep and helped Victor shovel:

The girls pretended to be mermaids and ‘swam’ in snow:

Went sledding in the backyard:

and just had a grand ol’ time:

 

Mia and I went inside to warm up and play:

while Victor and Alexa continued working on family of snowmen in the backyard:

 

And after playing with snow we had an impromptu playdate;  I got to hung out with my friend:

and the girls – with theirs (here they were playing ‘cheetahs and walking on all fours)

On Sunday it was more snow time, where the girls and their next-door-neighbour friends were ‘animal lookers‘ – tracking animal prints in search of a mysterious animal with ‘one long leg, one medium leg and two short legs’.

Unfortunately no such an animal was found but they had fun nonetheless:)

and finished off the day with some Tickle Time with Daddy:

It was definitely a snow and fun filled weekend!
