Capturing family memories in Van Ness Park in Ridgewood

I had the pleasure of photographing little G. newborn session about a year ago.  She was absolutely perfect and some of my favorite newborn images were captured during her newborn session.  I was thrilled when this family chose me to capture their family session a few weeks ago.   It is amazing what difference a year makes: from a tiny newborn little G. turned into a beautiful little toddler!  And her brother A. has changed from a 2.5 year old toddler to an adorable little boy!  A. is a friend of Mia and Alexa’s and my girls always love playdates with him .  The other day out of the blue they asked me to buy them three lollipops – “one for Mia, one for Alexa and one for Andrew!’ – looks like he already has two admirers:)

I adore family sessions and capturing love and connections between families and this time was no exception – I had a blast photographing these four in downtown Ridgewood and Wyckoff.  They are some of the nicest and easy going people I know and were such a pleasure to photograph.  They were relaxed, had a good time with each other and I think it shows in the photographs – to me these images just radiate love and happiness.  See for yourselves:

As a special ‘treat’ for myself, at the end of the session I was able to cuddle little G. a bit – I LOVED holding her and it really made me miss the days when Mia and Alexa were that age!  Good thing that they live close by and I get to see both kids grown up and cuddle G. from time to time:)
