Love, Laughter and Music

This family photoshoot in Allendale was so much fun – as you can see from the images – with LOTs of laughter, jokes and music.  I don’t remember the last time I laughed so hard at a family session – by the end of it my abs felt like they’d gotten a pretty good work-out!

I’ve worked with this family once before – for senior portraits of their oldest daughter – but this was the first time I photographed all five of them together.  It was great getting to know the other two kids, chatting about Hunger Games and creative writing, learning about what life in middle school is like, etc.

Like many families with older kids, these folks have not had a family session in a while, and were definitely overdue to update their family portraits.  They wanted something non traditional, laid back and casual and that’s exactly the images I was able to capture for them – not posed ‘look-and-the-camera-and-say-cheese’ traditional portraits, but lifestyle family images that capture lots of laughter and love – and show exactly who they are!  So if you are in Bergen County and looking to get updated family pictures but don’t want to get typical posed images – I am your gal!
