Best Birthday Party Ever

Whenever people compliment me on my creativity I am always surprised because in our family my sister is the creative one.  She is a graphic designer and has done so many different things – from brand and corporate identity designs, to photo montages to personalized invitations and favors.  But the thing she is best is is party planning.  She is absolutely amazing and I am not just saying it because she is my sister:)

Her oldest daughter just turned 4 and every year her birthday parties get better and better.  And when I think it cannot get better – my sister goes and exceeds my expectations yet again!  This year the theme was ‘Under the Sea’ and it was beyond amazing!

The mood was set with the ‘message in a bottle’ party invitations – ours (pictured below) was addressed to ‘mermaids Mia and Alexa’:

And things only got better from there:

The desert table was out of this world (notice the word ‘ABBY” spelled out and fish tanks with real gold fish!)

There were  ‘oysters’ – Mia notices the value right away- so she kept picking the ‘pearls’ from all oysters! 🙂

There was even an ‘tropical ocean’ backdrop – in ‘Abby’s Photo studio’!

There were corals and tropical fish made out of styrofoam (by my sister), mermaid tails for the girls (again, made by my sister!) and ‘crab’ hats for the boys, sand painting, ‘sea frame’ decorating and water bubble throwing.
