Trick-or-Treat!

One of many great things about having twins is being able to dress them up in ‘matching’ costumes for Halloween – or so I thought… And for the first few years they did not have very strong opinions re their costumes and I had a blast dressing them up for halloween.  But two years ago I lost that battle and since then the girls get to pick their own costumes – although every year I do try to influence them – without much success.  When we were picking out costumes these year I offered to buy the two different My Little Pony costumes, or Strawberry Shortcake and Lemon Merengue or An Angel and The Devil… And what did they pick? – one was My Little Pony and the other one – The Devil!  Yep, they are only 5.5 years old and I already have very little input into what they wear – at least for Halloween:)  But they were VERY cute My Little Pony and The Devil, if I may say so myself;)

And I was THRILLED that after a year of no Halloween (thanks to Sandy!) and a snowy Halloween (thanks to a freak snow storm of 2011) Jersey kids finally lucked out with perfect Halloween weather!   We took advantage of it – with a Halloween Parade at their elementary school, trick-or-treating in downtown and on our street.  A great time was had by everybody and now we have way too much candy!  I convinced the girls that they each could pick 10 pieces to keep and the rest we would send to the deployed troops overseas – they are very excited about this!
