Natural Family Images in New Jersey

I met this family in Wyckoff, in one of my favorite parks in Bergen County for their first ever family photo session.  They drove from Manhattan for this lifestyle family session and I was so impressed that they were able to meet me bright and early with two young kids – from experience I know that getting two kids ready is the morning is a very time consuming and almost impossible to achieve task.

The parents were so relaxed, easy going and up for absolutely everything I recommended: walking in a damp park to get to a cool location – sure! sitting on a gravel to take a few images – absolutely!

The kids seem to take their cues from the parents and were absolutely perfect – happy, playful and so natural in front of the camera.   Big brother J.is Mia and Alexa’s age so I was able to speak his language and discuss the latest goings on on Nick Jr. TV channel.  The Mom was armed with a whole lot of ‘props’ for J. for the session – from bubbles to a soccer ball to an extra t-shirt that came it quite handy.  It was great incorporating all of them into the session and capturing him being an active ‘big’ boy that he is:)

And little baby N. is absolutely adorable – so beautiful and cuddly – I could barely contain myself from kissing her chubby cheeks.  Her big brown eyes, super long eye lashes and four teeth that make an appearance when she smiles – beyond cute!

Lifestyle family sessions are some of my favorites – I just love witnessing tender and real moments between parents and kids; we’ve got a lot of them captured during this session – see for yourselves:)
