If you follow my blog that you know that I am absolutely, head-over-heels in love with New York. I’ve lived there ever since I moved to the US in ’94 and after I got married I moved to Manhattan. We stayed in the city as long as we possibly could but eventually Mia and Alexa’s stuff overtook our apartment and we did what so many other families do – moved out to the suburbs. I love the town we live in now and we are a short train ride away from the city, although our idillic town seems worlds away. But every once in a while, I ‘treat’ myself to a day in the city – and it makes me fall in love with it all over again. Yesterday was one of these days – I met up a friend for lunch and then just walked around midtown being a tourist, taking pictures of everything. I brought two lenses with me – my trusted 24-70 and a lensbaby composer pro. I rarely use my lensbaby but it lended itself perfectly to capture the energy of the city!
and here is one that i took from the train on the way back home – 10 min from manhattan but worlds away!
