Do as I do – Our Family Photoshoot in Amsterdam

As you can imagine, I have TONS of photos of our kids and Victor – albums and albums and albums worth of photos. And there are plenty of photos of me and the kids. When the girls were two, I had an epiphany about being in the photos (despite the fact that I did not love the way I looked) so ever since them I make sure to hand the camera over to Victor to make sure that I am in the photos with them.

So despite having so many images of us, I always hire a photographer to do a family session. I want those moments of all four of us together, exploring new places and sharing these great experiences, captured for years to come! And as my kids get older and get closer to leaving the house, I treasure these trips (and photoshoots!) more and more!

We did a photoshoot when we were in Amsterdam for spring break this year and it was so fun. It’s always great to get a local photographer because in addition to getting great photos, we always learn a bit about the history of the places we are in!
