Photographing teens in bergen county

As a Bergen county family photographer I  work a lot of families with younger kids.  But what about when your kids are no longer super cute toddlers or ‘little’ kids – what about when they turn into ‘big’ kids and teens?  Speaking from experience (my girls are turning 12.5 this month!) I believe family sessions with older kids are just as important as when they were young. For some (again, speaking from personal experience) teen years may be awkward (braces anyone?)  but that does not mean that you should stop with taking photos!  This time is just as important as any other time in your family life.

When I  do sessions with teens and tweens they are not as silly as they are with younger kids – there is no potty jokes or tickles (although with COVID I can’t get ticket my little clients anyway!).  These sessions are different but still fun and we do get silly sometimes.   I  think these guys enjoyed their family photoshoot – as you can see from these smiling faces!  And what makes a family session even better?  Having your pets there with you!  These guys brought all THREE of their pets and we photographed each kid with his/her favorite!

And what do you think of this awesome location?  This Mom asked if we could do this photoshoot there and when I  went to check it out prior to their session I  knew that it would create a beautiful backdrop for their family photos.  Don’t you agree?
