We decided to do this family photo session in Ridgewood because it’s been a while since we’ve done their session there (I think last time was when E was just two years old!) and because downtown Ridgewood has so many cool spots that land themselves perfectly to Bergen County family photo sessions!

I can’t tell you how much I love doing sessions with these guys . Family photoshoots with them are a perfect combination of controlled chaos and lots of laughter! As I do with all my family photo photoshoots, we got ‘semi-posed’ portraits out of the way quickly (I am all about lifestyle photography but let’s be honest – I think everybody wants a couple of semi posted shots!) and then spent the rest of the session having lots and lots of fun! I love letting kids run free and showcasing their personalities and this is exactly what we did.

The kids has a blast (I can still hear them laughing!) and we ended this photoshoot with ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s! And if that’s not a perfect way to end a photoshoot, I don’t know what is:)
