And the winner of the Giving Thanks contest is….

I was amazed by all your submission for the Giving Thanks contest!  I loved reading each and every one and was really moved by so many of them.  It is wonderful to hear that you guys have so many great things to be thankful for!

There are a lot of wonderful entries but one touched me the most.  After all, what is more precious than a gift of your child’s life?   The winners of my Giving Thanks contests are Sue and Danny and their three girls!  Sue and Danny – please reach out to me so that we could set up a time for your Simplicity Session.  I cannot wait to meet and photograph all of you guys!

And here is a submission that their friend did on their behalf:

“Sue and her husband Danny have 3 beautiful daughters. 9 year old twins Abby and Emily, and 2 year old Lindsey. Last yearLindsey was diagnosed with myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle. After 7 long months on the transplant waiting list, and several close calls, Lindsey received her new heart. That was  6 months ago. As of a few days ago, she is doing great and showing NO signs of rejection. Sue and Danny are amazing! I cannot imagine the strength, both emotional and physical, that it must have taken to be able to get through such a thing. They received the greatest gift anyone could have given to them, their daughter’s life. They are thankful every day for such an amazing gift and pray daily for the family of the child that saved Lindsey.
I am thankful and honored to have them in my life and I am thankful that this amazing little girl got a second chance at life. Please consider them for the “Simplicity Session” giveaway. I know that through your lens you can capture the beauty, “heart”, and strength that is this family.”
