Our Summer trip to the Island of roaming pigs, beautiful beaches, turquoise waters and colorful buildings

We just got back from Curacao and absolutely loved it! And since not a lot of people’ve been there or even heard about it (at least among people I know, I want to tell you all about this beautiful island in the Dutch Antilles. Victor and I went there in February of last year and loved it so much that we decided to come back – this time with our kids!

This island has it all: beautiful white sand beaches if you are a beach person and want to lounge on the beach and do nothing (or go paddle boarding):

You can drive to Playa Porto Mari to hang out with wild pigs:

Or go to Playa Grandi to swim with sea turtles and Tug boat beach for really great snorkling right off the beach:

There is a really nice walkable town with really cool street art and very colorful buildings:

You can also check out Shete Boka National Park, which my kids said reminded them of ‘tropical Iceland’:

And last but definitely not least – there are so many amazing restaurants with really creative dishes – think mushrooms with garlic foam and yogurt ice cream (this one was one the best things I’ve ever had!):
