I cannot believe it’s been a month since I did a mini photo session at the beach with Victor and the girls!   With fall almost upon us, it was quite nice for me to work on these images and remember hot, care-free days of our summer vacation.

This was the shortest family session I ever did of Victor and the girls and here is why:  Mia and Alexa absolutely loved the ocean and ran towards the waves every time Victor loosened his grip on them.   And of course they did not make it easy on Victor and instead of being considerate and running away together (preferably holding hands!) , they ran into two different directions, making it quite challenging for Victor to catch them.

As you can imagine, being a children photographer, it is important for me to be able to capture my own kids.   I go to great lengths to get a awesome image and while I did not mind getting soaked by the waves and my skirt covered in sand, in between shots, I wanted to keep an eye on the girls and make sure they did not get in trouble.   I can multi-task with the best of them but even for me it was quite tricky to direct, photograph AND make sure the girls did not get swept away to sea.  Hence the shortest family photo session ever:)

I wanted to get at least a couple of fine art portraits from this session but quickly realized that with both my monkeys not being very cooperative, it was mission impossible.   So instead I focused on capturing them having fun with the ocean and am very happy with the lifestyle images I got.   These photographs will always remind me of the first summer in Ocean City when they got enough courage to finally step into the ocean and loved it!
