I’ll be back!

Today was a big day- Mia and Alexa’s first day in pre-school!  Well, it really was just an orientation – we left the girls in pre-school and then picked them up an hour later.  But since we will be away when their school officially starts next week (see more below) we celebrated today as the first day – complete with mandatory ‘backpack’ pictures, which I will post later on once I have a chance to process them. They did great – no crying, clinging or even whining – they played with the toys and run to the playground like they’ve been doing it for years.  I was glad that they liked it but it also felt a bit bittersweet – my girls are growing up!

Victor and I are going on vacation today – exploring Northern Europe – Norway, Sweden and Denmark.  Victor did a great job planning the trip (as he always does!) and it should be really wonderful and a much-needed ‘us-only’ vacation.  I have not had a chance to get excited about it yet because things have been so busy and even today there is still so much left to do  – including getting the girls ready for their stay with the nanny/grandparents, shipping an order to a client, food shopping, etc.  And oh yeah  –  PACKING for the trip!  (if you need an adrenaline rush, try last minute packing – it will definitely get your heart pumping).
