Family Fun

This was such a fun family session.  This family’s lived in Ridgewood for a couple of years but soon will be bidding New Jersey good-bye and moving to Texas so having their family session in Downtown Ridgewood and capturing ‘typical Ridgewood’ images was really special to them.   When I spoke to Mom during their pre-session consultation to find out what the girls were like she told me they were really into dragons, which I thought was the coolest thing!    The girls’ favorite movie is ‘How to train your dragon’ so after this photo shoot I was inspired to watch it with Mia and Alexa and all of us absolutely loved it.  I laughed and cried and Mia told me that she liked this movie because ‘there were no bad guys in it, only bad dragons’:)

These girls taught me all things dragon, including roaring like one, which is what they were doing when I captured the image below.  I am thrilled that they chose this image as a very large family canvas – it definitely shows the girls’ personalities and is such a fun image:)

The girls were absolutely adorable – as you can see for yourself  – with her huge eyes, chubby cheeks and pig tails – can she be any cuter? !

These sisters were SO sweet with each other and I was happy to be able to capture their bond – and their love for their ‘dogs’ of course 🙂

This is one of my favorite images from the session –  the pig-tails, a band-aid, a bracelet, a very tight hug around Mommy’s neck – everything just screams ‘innocence and love’ to me!
