Here is the last batch of images from our trip to France – images from the birth-place of Napoleon – the island of Corsica. I did not know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by amazing scenery and delicious food, although brisk restaurant service was something to get used to. We rented a car and slowly made our way from Ajaccio on one side of the island to Bastia on the other side, staying overnight in a tiny mountain top village with just one main street and one restaurant.
Bastia was relaxing with a very pretty old harbor where I almost fell into the bay when a plank on the dock gave in… I was not sure if it was a sign that I should stop taking so many pictures or eat less! Fortunately I was rescued by my very own Prince Charming and did not get any serious injuries. All in all it was a great place to visit and I would definitely recommend it if you like ‘off-the-beaten-track’ destination.
