Central Park family session

This is the third year I’ve photographed this family (their fourth session!) and I look forward to each session even more than the one before.  I absolutely love seeing the kids and how much they’ve changed and grown and catch up with their Mom, who always makes me laugh!    When I first met them little S. was not even a year old and her brother  – O. was only 3.   It is amazing to see how different they are now: full of unique personalities but just as adorable as 2 years ago.   They looked so cute – as if they just walked off a page from a children’s catalog!  S. and O. made me laugh throughout the whole session and I had a great time chatting and playing with them.

I was thrilled that we decide to have this session in Central Park – I think it is such a great place for family photo sessions.   I love that you can capture natural park scape images that you would be able to get anywhere else in the world PLUS some very typical and unique Central Park images that just scream ‘New York!’  Shooting in Central Park is a paradise for a photographer and always makes me so happy:)

This was one of the first images I captured – I think it is one of my favorite from the session – I absolutely adore everything about it!

I absolutely loved their Mom’s reaction when she saw the images: ” OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  i really thought I was going to explode from excitement as I was viewing them!”   She told me that I totally get her kids and were able to capture not just what they looked like but also their personalities.   Capturing children as they are is my goal for each session so this compliment along with her reaction to the images absolutely made me day; they are the reason why I LOVE doing what I do!
