Photographing teens in Ridgewood

If you followed me for a while you know that I  photograph a lot of families with younger kids.  But what about families who have older kids?  I think those family session are just as important as when the kids are younger.  My girls are 12.5 and we still do a family session at least once a year.  Sure they are not chubby little toddlers but they are my kids and I  do want to remember this time in our lives.

Having said that, family sessions with older kids are definitely different from photoshoots with little toddlers – I  don’t make silly faces or tell potty jokes.  And images may be a tiny bit more posed – after all, what self respecting teen or tween would want to be doing cartwheels or riding their scooter.  But during these sessions we get to capture just as much love and connection and sweet family moments as we do with younger kids. So if you have a teen or a tween do yourself a favor and schedule a family session – I  promise you won’t regret it!
