Backyard fun

This morning I met this wonderful family who just welcomed their third child.   Even though the session was longer than my usual session and was physically tiring (since it was a combination of newborn/family portraits) I had such a blast with the kids and caught myself smiling thinking about it on my way home from the session.

Big sister M. was an absolute pleasure to photograph.  First, five minutes after meeting me she asked if I could be her best friend – I happily complied:)  Then she told me about her upcoming birthday party, which, as I later found out, is not till May 2011! – I remember the days when I used to look forward to my own birthday party the day after I had one.  And on top of all that, she made the best sea-gull sounds I’ve ever heard a person make:)

Although this little guy was super active we managed to keep him still for a few minutes by putting him up in a tree – he had a blast!

And once his belly was full, little E completely conked out and was the happiest/sleepiest baby on the block:

I absolutely love this image -how real it is – you can almost hear this litte guy crying. If I had a similar image of my girls I would definitely print it as a large canvas and display it prominently in my house – it makes me smile every time I look at it:)

Congratulations W. family on your addition – all three of your kids are absolutely joy!
