I’ve said it may times that I just LOVE it when I get to photograph my repeat clients; it is like seeing old friends: you get to catch up, see their kids grow and be a part of their lives.
I met these two last year and the sneak peak for their last year’ session was titled ‘Ms. Smiley and Mr. Serious’. This title is still applicable for this year’s session – even though they look much bigger now their personalities stayed the same – Ms. S. is happy and smiley and her brother is more reserved and serious. But his seriousness disappeared once the topic of trains came up – his eyes lit up and he became super excited and so happy! I was amazed by his knowledge of trains – he knows things about trains that I did not even know existed. And his Mom is quite a train expert herself – I guess when you have boys you learn a thing or two that you don’t necessarily get to learn if you only have girls:)
And an added bonus was that this session was in New York. I definitely miss being a New Yorker and love every chance I get to go there. Although it is funny how quickly I am becoming a suburbanite – I am so used to quiet streets, tall trees and grassy lawns, kids playing on swing sets in their backyard… such a different pace of life!
So in summary – perfect weather, great location, adorable kids – all make for a successful session!
