A trip to the Zoo

To take advantage of the beautiful weather we were having, Victor and I decided to take the girls to the Bronx Zoo, which in my opinion is one of the best in the world!  Our last visit to the zoo (about a year ago) was not very successful – most of the time we were running after Mia, who was more interested in running away from us than looking at the animals.  This time around was so much better – the girls LOVED the animals!    At one point Victor was pulling the wagon with Mia in it as we were passing a little creek.   Mia heard me asking Victor about a hippo and as soon as she heard that word she started to climb out of the wagon saying “Let me see, let me see ‘ippo'”!

Towards the end of the visit the girls decided that it was ‘hug’ time and spent about 5 minutes hugging each other in the middle of the zoo.  It did not end very well – Mia tripped and fell on Alexa, who ended up with a fat lip – my poor baby!
